Please note: By doing a factory re-set you will wipe out any pre-configured settings on the phone such as phone line configuration, ringtones/lists and directories from the phone so BEFORE doing a factory re-set we strongly recommend that you save your phones configuration settings first to then re-load back onto the phone once the factory re-set has been completed.
To do a factory re-set you will need to follow the instructions below:
1. Login to your Phone's Gigaset web interface - click here to see how
2. Click on the 'Settings'/ 'System' /'Reboot and Reset' options
3. Click OK next to 'Reboot'
Please note: as part of the reboot you may need to enter your password to log back into the Gigaset web interface the password is 'admin'.
5. Click OK next to 'Start factory re-set'
6. When the factory re-set has completed please go to the 'Save and Restore' menu
7. Click the Restore button to load the saved configuration file (saved in your downloads folder) back onto the phone as shown below:
8. Just click on the Restore button as shown above - find the configuration file from your downloads and restore this back to the phone.
9. Click onto the Network and Connections page - check your phone line is shown as 'Registered'
10. When finished please click on Log off.
Please note you can also re-set the phone via the Reset button underneath the phone which is shown in the image below:
Press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds to reset the phone back to factory settings.
