To switch off the auto answer on your Gigaset DECT handset so that you can only answer a call by pressing the green phone icon you need to go to the Settings menu on your handset.

1. Access Settings on your phones handset by selecting the central button on your handset as shown below and selecting the Settings icon which is shown as a Spanner.

2. Select Handset or Telephony

3. Un-tick the Auto Answer Box.

4. When you phone rings again to answer the call you will need to press the green ringing phone icon to be connected to the caller.
